Emma is an accomplished director of theatre and has organised and taught a number of residential drama courses. Emma has particular interest in mask production and performance.
Apart from her birthday Ufton is her most favourite time of the year and usually the two coincide. Emma sings like an angel, dances like Darcy Bussell and can walk on her hands while cackling with her twisted sister.
Tara Elie - Course Tutor
Tara was previously a student on the summer school and completed all four courses. She did backflips when she was offered the post of tutor on the summer school. Tara worked as freelance drama youth worker in Berkshire and Middlesex for a year before qualifying as a drama teacher.
She has a wealth of experience in a variety of theatre and performance work. Tara even travelled to New Zealand to attend a Haka School to bring this back for one of the courses.
Laura Marsh - Course Tutor
Laura has been working as a teacher of Drama and Theatre Studies at The Emmbrook School for the past two years and first heard about the Ufton Court Drama Summer School whilst there on teaching practice. Laura was asked to attend in 2004, for the Commedia Dell ’Arte Course, as a fourth teacher whilst Emma was expecting, and it worked so well that she was invited back as teaching staff for the following year.
